Grow like a tree

Grow like a tree

If you look at a tree, you’ll notice that most don’t grow straight up with one stem. It sends out many branches in every direction, and it does this for a reason. The more branches it has, the more light it can receive, and the more fruit it can produce. In many ways, God calls us to grow the same way. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches.” (John 15:5). God designed our lives to branch out – to grow in different areas, to stretch, to reach, and to depend on Him for light, so we can bear fruit and reflect His character. “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12). Just like a tree, the more branches we grow that reach toward His light, the stronger we become. All we need do is stay attached to the trunk – Jesus. So when storms come, we can stand firm. The next time you see a tree full of branches, remember this: God doesn’t want your life to stay small and straight. He wants you to grow, stretch, live abundantly, and bear fruit that brings Him glory. (Hannah H) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh15v5, https://bit.ly/joh8v12
