God Is Your Dad

God Is Your Dad

Around 85% of youths in prison come from fatherless homes – a stark reminder of how vital a father's presence is. Sadly, many fathers are either entirely absent or too consumed by work to truly engage, fueling higher rates of delinquency, violence, and incarceration. For those who have never known a loving father, hope can feel distant. But here is the good news: God, the ultimate Father and creator of relationships, fills that role in the greatest way possible. He is the guiding hand – "the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place" (Deuteronomy 1:31). He is the comforting embrace – "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles" (2 Corinthians 1:3). And most wonderfully, He is "A father to the fatherless" (Psalms 68:5). Whether you have been blessed with a loving earthly father or not, rejoice that your Heavenly Father is there for every one of us. "The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, 'Abba, Father.'" (Romans 8:15). Your Dad loves you. He is always present to care, comfort, guide, and protect you. I love you Dad! (Craig B).
