Go slower, arrive sooner

Go slower, arrive sooner

Have you ever heard the paradox about going slower to get somewhere faster? It’s a concept that isn’t new—we’ve heard it in the tale of the tortoise and the hare, and it’s even a principle in fitness, where slow, consistent steps toward your goal often work better than rushing. But long before these examples, the Bible spoke of this truth. One of my favourite reminders is found in the Message version of Jeremiah 2:25: “Slow down. Take a deep breath. What’s the hurry?” This verse is so helpful to me. I often have so many things I want to achieve quickly that it becomes overwhelming—and that rush actually slows me down. But when we move methodically and patiently, we often end up further ahead and reap a greater harvest. The next time you’re frustrated that you aren’t where you want to be, remember the Bible is full of promises reminding us that we will get there in God’s timing. His plan unfolds with purpose. Sometimes, things just take time. So take a breath, trust Him, and go slower… to get there faster. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Jer2v25 (Jean-Luc H)
