It is said that the formula for Happiness is H=R/E, Happiness = Reality/Expectation. So, if you are expecting a movie to be a 10 but when you watch it in your reality is it is a 5, you are only 50% (5/10) happy. However, if your reality exceeds your expectations then you are really happy. In Ephesians 3:20 we read that “God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. God is promising us a reality that exceeds anything we could ever expect. This promise is both for our lives now and in eternity. For now our expectations are low. Our world is full of suffering, violence, disease, and war. But God is offering you a peace that transcends this and all human understanding. But more than this, he is offering you a joy now and in his eternal future. A joy beyond what you can think or imagine. Now that’s divine happiness. Mind-blowing.
