Take a moment and think of your three most valued possessions. It could be clothing, technology, jewellery, a car, a house, or anything else. Now consider how often these valued possessions, or our desire to obtain newer versions of them, consume our time and energy. In Ecclesiastes 5:15, we are told – “We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.” Those most valued possessions are an illusion. They may be called possessions, but we can’t possess them. Jesus tells us – “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal….Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” (Matthew 6:19,21). Let us instead “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and God will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33). Not only will God provide for all our material needs, but he will also give us a real possession that lasts forever – eternal life in his kingdom. Put God top of your list of possessions, and you will exit life with the greatest riches imaginable. 🌱 Open Bible – https://bit.ly/ecc5v15, https://bit.ly/mat6v19-21, https://bit.ly/mat6v33
