Change can be difficult, for some certainly more than others. We’ve never stayed in one place for too long, but when the opportunity arose to travel more, we took it. Some of the usual criticisms of constant travel that people raise came to mind – “It’s good to have a place to hang your coat” or “You have to have somewhere to call home”. This caused a brief moment of indecisiveness as even though it was our dream and passion to travel and explore, we were unsure if we could successfully pull it off. Then I was reminded of Deuteronomy 31:8, which says, “The Lord himself will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forget you. Don’t be afraid and don’t worry.” I then remembered that so long as we have God with us at all times, we are truly at home wherever we go. Whatever change or decisions you may have in your life, all you need to do is remember that God is always by your side, and there can be no greater reassurance than that. As long as you keep God close to you in every facet of your day, you can be assured that you will be successful in carrying out the plan He has for you.
