Shade that stays

Shade that stays

“Extreme heat warning” — our car temperature read 38°C. Not ideal for the start of a full week in the sun! Our first stop was a shop where we each picked up a UV 50 umbrella, giving us a little pocket of shade wherever we went, especially on the beach. It’s incredible how something so small could offer such relief from the blazing heat. It reminded me of these words: “The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.” (Psalm 121:5–6). Just like that umbrella shielded us from the sun, God offers us something far greater—His constant and unfailing protection. While an umbrella gives temporary relief, God is our permanent refuge. He covers us not just from the scorching sun, but also from the things in life that burn and wear us down. His protection isn’t limited by place or circumstance. It’s personal, portable, and ever-present. Wherever you go today, remember—God goes with you, as your keeper and your shade. Open Bible – bit.ly/Psa121v5-6 (Hannah H)
