10% Battery

10% Battery

Some time ago I was giving an online Bible talk. Everything was going well until I noticed I only had 10% battery left. I was outdoors, far from any power source. I surreptitiously signalled to my son-in-law, who raced off to find extension cords. One wasn’t enough, so he dashed around to find more. Moments before my device died, I was plugged in. The audience never knew—but it was a lot of stress. It made me wonder: why wasn’t I connected to power from the start? Perhaps it felt like too much effort to set up. And why wait until the last 10% to desperately search for a solution? These are the same questions we can ask of our spiritual lives. Why do we try to live disconnected from the ultimate source of power—God? Why do we wait until we’re drained before we turn to Him? “God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29). The Hebrew word for strength—ḵôaḥ—means more than just energy; it speaks of potential energy. It’s divine empowerment or potential given by God. If we stay plugged into God from the start, there’s no panic, no scrambling—just steady strength, and a potential to achieve more than we can imagine. Don’t wait until your battery is low. Connect daily. Let God power your life. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Isa40v29 (Craig B)
