As the new year begins and work ramps up, the holidays quickly feel like a distant memory. We dive into new goals, tackle deadlines, and set ambitious plans that can often feel overwhelming. Amid this busyness, Psalm 37:7 reminds us: “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” January may seem like your busiest month, but God calls us to pause, trust, and wait patiently for Him. He doesn’t expect us to bear the weight of everything on our own or compete with others. Instead, He invites us to lean on His power, guidance, and wisdom. It’s easy to look around and feel discouraged, thinking others are ahead or achieving more. But remember, their success is fleeting. True, lasting blessings come from placing our trust in God. When we do, He promises rewards far beyond what this world offers—eternal blessings with Him. As you enter this year, take a moment to give thanks, be still, and let God lead you forward.
