Happy New You

Happy New You

“Happy New Year”. This is the greeting seen everywhere as the calendar turns – but is it truly happy, and is it really new? For many, the worries of yesterday don’t vanish. Life still weighs heavy. Because the truth is, nothing changes if nothing changes. A new date on the calendar can’t bring peace to worry or joy to sadness. We need the Renewer – the One who specialises in new. Jesus offers more than improvement; He offers transformation. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). God doesn’t offer to just renovate the old, He promises a new order entirely: “Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth…” (Isaiah 65:17). In Scripture, renewal always flows from God’s initiative, not human effort. Today can be new, but it’s not the calendar that brings change, it’s Christ. Let Him fill your year with His love, joy, and peace, and experience a new you. “Behold, I make all things new.” (Revelation 21:5). Happy New You.
