Today, let’s reflect on the power of faith. Hebrews reminds us, “Without faith it is impossible to please God… anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6). The Israelites turned from God and missed His rest because of unbelief: “So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.” (Hebrews 3:19). We’re warned: “See to it… that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.” (Hebrews 3:12). An unbelieving heart closes us off from God’s healing, peace, and power. So today, let’s choose faith, trusting that “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life.” (2 Peter 1:3).
