Your streak

Your streak

Streaks are a blessing and a curse; it seems most apps now have them. Every day you open the app and perform a required task, you earn another day in your unbroken streak. When days become months and even years, the thought of breaking the streak is just too terrible to consider. And so we slavishly keep doing what is required. This can be a blessing if it’s something good, like a health app that uses this to encourage a daily habit of exercise. But it can also be a curse if the app encourages less healthy habits. Yet every one of us is living a streak whether we like it or not. Your streak is the number of days you have been alive. Every day we open the app called Life. But whether our streak is a blessing or a curse depends on what we do with the app. Joshua shared his streak. “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8). Constant reading of God’s Word is the streak that will give you eternal success. What will you do with your Life app today?
