Who are you married to?

Who are you married to? It seems like a silly question with an obvious answer. Think about what it means to be married to someone. We can describe a marriage as two people being inseparable in love from one another. It’s a result of two becoming one through time spent together, which results in a strong relationship. Well, now think about what you truly love in life, what you spend most of your time with, and what you focus on creating a strong bond with. Is it your phone? Perhaps it’s Netflix, video games, sports, or social media. The thing is that we often create unhealthy marriages in our lives and become dependent on vices that are undeserving of our love. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them” (1 John 2:15). We all want to love and be loved. However, this is not possible with worldly attachments. It’s only by loving God, by marrying ourselves to him, that we are truly loved. Who will you spend time with today? Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1Jo2v15 (Jean-Luc H)
