What quest are you on? Think about this question for a moment. Life is a quest and without a quest we are not living. A quest is a goal or a purpose toward which we aspire. It could be getting a degree, finding a spouse, helping the homeless, introducing people to Jesus. Interestingly, the first sentence of this gospel bite message was itself a mini quest. What quest are you on? This is a QUESTion. Question is the same root word as quest. A quest is a seeking out in the world, and a question is a seeking through words. They are two sides of the same coin—one in action, one in speech. And so it is interesting to note that the first time God has a conversation with humans it begins with a series of questions. And the first one is “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9). This is a question and the start of any quest. Understanding where we are. And then amazingly the first recorded words of immortal Jesus are “Why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” (John 20:15). Once we understand where we are and our condition, we must answer what we are looking for in life. The two greatest turning points in history—humanity’s fall and redemption—are marked by questions. Where are you? Who or what are you looking for? Answer this truthfully and you will discover your quest. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Gen3v9, https://bit.ly/Joh20v15 (Craig B)
