The Big Reveal

Recently we were blessed to enjoy a multi-day hike called the Whale Trail – atop beautiful mountains bursting with Cape fynbos before descending toward the sea. Our AI-generated guide promised what it called "the big reveal" – a stunning view of the sea from the cliffs just before our destination. As the day grew increasingly hot, we looked forward to it eagerly. But the time came and went. No reveal. Onward we walked, hotter and hotter. Some began losing faith that it even existed. Then, much later than the AI had predicted, we crested a hill and were gifted with the most amazing sight – stunning views of the sea, dolphins playing in the surf, and our accommodation right on the beach. While AI may be wrong, God never is. He has promised that Jesus will return in the greatest Big Reveal of all time. Our predictions will be wrong (Matthew 24:36). Many will lose faith, "saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation" (2 Peter 3:4). But for those who keep believing, the day will come. Jesus will return in the most incredible big reveal of all time. "Even so, come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20). (Craig B).
