Amidst a life rich with family, friends, and prosperity, Abram hears the divine command: “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you” (Genesis 12:1). It’s a perplexing call, yet coupled with a promise: greatness and blessing. Abram steps into the unknown, living by faith. He faces danger, kings, and the pain of family division. Twenty-five years pass. At 99, with Sarah at 90, the promise of descendants feels like an echo. Then, an angel breaks the silence: a son is coming. Abram becomes Abraham, father of many nations. Isaac’s birth is a miracle – heaven touching earth. But the journey reaches its peak at Moriah. God commands Abraham to sacrifice Isaac. In faith, he obeys. At the brink, God intervenes: “Through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me” (Genesis 22:18). This is not just about lineage, it’s the heralding of a greater Descendant. A story where the curse of death begins to unravel, and heaven and earth are reunited. Every step of Abraham, every star-lit night, speaks of a relentless God of love weaving a divine tapestry where heaven’s majesty meets earth’s deep longing.
