Did you know that the deepest gold mine is 3.84km deep? That’s like a 1000-story building below ground. That’s crazy. Yet even at these incredible depths, we have only penetrated 0.2% of the skin of the earth. This is similar to our experience of God. Sometimes we find a gem of divine wisdom in a note or a message from a friend. Yet, if we look closer, if we pick up God’s Word for ourselves we open a mine so deep, so incredible, so life-changing, that its depths are without end. “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” (Romans 11:33). However, unlike the deep gold mine, God’s mine of precious wisdom is available to everyone. He wants to explore it with you. He wants to show you things so amazing, so incredible, words cannot contain them. Open his Word. Spend a few minutes reading the Bible. There’s a wonder world waiting for you.
