Have you ever been so excited about seeing someone that you can think of nothing else? You’re so looking forward to seeing them that you can’t even eat. It has to be someone really special to make us feel like this. Someone you know really well. Someone you really love. Have you ever felt like this about God? “I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the LORD. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.” (Psalms 84:2). That’s the relationship God wants with us. That’s the love he wants. This relationship, this longing, this love is only developed by spending time with Him, by getting to know Him well. Take time today. Talk to Him (pray). Listen to Him (read the Bible). See Him (all around you).
