Our bed was our island oasis in a house filled with rising water during a recent flood. We had a floor fan that we were using to monitor the water level. The rain continued unabated, and the water level had already reached 30cm. We were completely at the mercy of God. How often in life do we find ourselves in this situation? A sea of rising, insurmountable problems surrounds us. We don’t know which way to turn. David offers us encouraging words – “Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.” (Psalm 36:6). David goes further to encourage us; “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 36:7). And God’s response; “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 36:8). Start each day in prayer to our Heavenly Father. Let God be your hiding place, for He will protect, counsel, and keep his loving eye on you in all your ways. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Psa36v6-8, http://bit.ly/READMore_ (Nicky B)
