We are addicted to sunsets and sunrises There’s something just so magical about the colors and tranquility as the light dances on the edge of night. It’s a must see, every day. But it’s more than that – every sunset and sunrise is a message from God.
“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.” (Psalms 112:4)
God is saying he is there for us in our darkness – in our times of need. He will shine through. It’s interesting that we mostly notice the light of the sun when it first rises or as it slowly sets. That’s when it is most beautiful as it contrasts the darkness around it. The same is true in our lives – we often really only notice the beauty of God’s presence in our times of darkness. However, His light of love is always with us – whatever the time of day we may find ourselves in – Let’s open our eyes and see His light not only in the darkness, but in the light too.
“For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.” (Psalms 36:9)
