Bad company

Bad company

Think of your three closest friends. You are a blend of them. We quickly become like the people we associate with, for good or bad, and often for bad. “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33). In much the same was “you are what you eat”, “you are who you friend”. In our modern social media world, our company is often more virtual than real, but its impact on moulding us is no less real. There’s a well-known song that begins with the words “What a friend we have in Jesus”. Choosing to spend time with him, putting him in your top three friend list, will change your character for good. And not only will he change your character, he will open your eyes to see the world and your life in a whole new way.
