We worship a Heavenly Father who is abundant – abundant in grace, abundant in love, abundant in wisdom, abundant in power, and abundant in forgiveness. There is nothing impossible for Him. He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20). What is your response to God’s abundance? Does God receive the best of your time and energy, or just what’s left over after a long day? Do you seek every opportunity to serve others, read God’s Word and pray, or do you sometimes forget to think about others, read His Word and pray? Is it a joy for you to worship God and Jesus with fellow believers, or are there other things you’d rather do with your time? Only you can truthfully answer these questions. If your life is feeling empty, is it because you are empty in your love and service to God and others? In Proverbs, we read, “Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine” (Proverbs 3:9-10). Give God the best of your time, energy, money, and possessions and experience His overflowing abundance in every aspect of your life.
