Do you want more?

Do you want more?

Do you ever find yourself wanting more? It’s a common feeling. We often crave more – a holiday by the beach, a house by the beach, a boat to use at that beach house. The list is endless. And as soon as we have these things….we are happy. No! Then we crave more. But these are not needs – these are simply wants and desires for material things. In Proverbs, the wise writer brings clarity to this issue. He states, “Give me neither riches nor poverty, but give me only what I need.” (Proverbs 30:8). And, what is it we need? The whole of Proverbs deals with this question. “For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her” (Proverbs 8:11). The one essential need is wisdom. That’s what I truly need, what I should desire. The wisdom that comes from above, from God’s Word, from the Father. If you really want to desire something more – seek God, and His wisdom, and you’ll need nothing else. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Pro30v8, https://bit.ly/Pro8v11 (Adam By)
