Proud goal

Proud goal

Goal! You can’t miss it. The way players react when they score a goal! Pure joy. Some grab their shirt and proudly display their number to their fans, or run, pumping their arms in the air as the crowd cheers. They’ve accomplished something amazing and deserve to feel proud. While others falling to their knees, lifting their faces and hands to the sky, give thanks to God. How do you react when you achieve something? Do you take pride in your achievement, patting yourself on the back, or do you thank God for what He’s done in your life? It’s good to feel proud of an accomplishment, but how do we feel when things don’t go our way? A proud player who scored a goal may still lose the game, and then choose to blame the ref causing conflict between the sides. And what about the player who thanked God for their goal? Do they still thank Him when they lose? Proverbs 28:25 tells us that “He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will be prospered.” If we choose to humbly trust God in every situation, win or lose, then we will prosper. That’s our goal! Open Bible – http://bit.ly/pro28v25
