“By the end of the decade, we will put a man on the moon.” (John F. Kennedy, 1962). “A computer on every desk and in every home.” (Bill Gates, 1980). These powerful and, at the time, seemingly impossible visions changed the world. In the business world, a lot of time and money is spent crafting vision statements – short, concise pictures of the future. Why? Because they have realised that without a strong vision, they have no direction and will soon flounder. It’s the wisdom that God shared thousands of years ago – “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but happy is he that keeps the law” (Proverbs 29:18). The word “perish” (Hebrew p̱âra) means bare or naked. Not having a vision makes us naked and vulnerable. Yet most of us don’t have a personal vision. Greater than any other vision is God’s vision. It’s short and simple, and everything in the universe moves towards it. “As truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD” (Numbers 14:21). By keeping God’s laws, we align our lives with his vision, and doing that means we become part of the greatest vision ever. It may seem impossible, but God’s vision will change everything and everyone, forever. Open Bible – http://bit.ly/pro29v18, http://bit.ly/num14v21
