We wake up and look at the time. If we go now we can get to the beach in time to watch the sunrise over the ocean. There’s always something special about a morning sunrise. Each sunrise is a unique piece of art, as God takes out his palette of morning colors and splashes it liberally across the canvas of His sky. We sit on a rock watching the ocean waves gently roll up the beach, waiting as the light pastels are painted first. Then it happens. The sun bursts over the horizon sending beams of light splashing across the sky. It’s absolutely breathtaking. A feeling of joy and peace fills my soul. It’s a reminder of God’s promise. “For you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.” (Malachi 4:2). God’s daily reminder is that his sun – his son, Jesus wants to rise each new day in your life with healing in his beams. He wants to fill your life with joy…and I love the word picture, like calves let out to pasture. Let his son shine into your life today.
