The Best Breathing technique

Breathe in. Breathe out. How often do you think about your breathing? Probably not very often, as it is something our body does naturally without us even being conscious of it. However, I recently attended a yoga class, and the entire class was focused on being mindful of our breath and the benefits that come from it. Research has shown that breathing exercises can help manage chronic pain, reduce stress and increase memory. In Job 33v4, we read, “It’s not merely any breath that sustains us, but the very breath of God, the ultimate source of life and peace”. Job reminds us how it is ultimately God’s breath that sustains us. His divine name, YaHVeH, with the two breath letters, Hey, in it, reminds us of divine breath – Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey. His divine breath brings us life and peace. The next time you feel stressed or anxious. Don’t just breathe, breathe God’s name, Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey. Breathe in. Breathe out.
