The Mandelbrot set is a mathematical construction that can be represented through colours and shapes using the computing power of modern computers. It is an example of a fractal pattern where self similar patterns are revealed at different levels of zoom. It’s a powerful visual demonstration of the fractal patterns we see in nature all around us. The awesome thing is that the more you zoom into the pattern, the more beauty and complexity you see without losing the pattern. Fractals are self similar patterns, but each new level of zoom reveals a surprising nuance of beauty. The higher the resolution, the more we are spellbound with what we discover. We know who God is. But we continue to seek Him. The more we zoom into Him, the more His wisdom and beauty entrance us. With God, we have an infinite zoom into beauty. “Our Lord is great and has awesome power; there is no limit to his wisdom.” (Psalms 147:5).
