Most of us have lost a close family member or friend – your adoring grandparents who filled your life with delight and special treasures. Your mother or father who was the anchor in your life. Your closest friend, who was always there for you and share words of support and advice. And sadly, for some, even the tragic loss of a precious child. It’s a sad irony that death is the reality of life. However, our Heavenly Father has a completely different perspective on death. God is eternal, from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 90:2). For God, time is different – a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (2 Peter 3:8). Our eternal, timeless God reassures us with these words – “But those who die in the LORD will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead!” (Isaiah 26:19). God is life. Eternal life. His promise to those who join themselves to his eternity is life again. Those who die in the LORD will live. For now, they merely sleep but will arise in joy. As the Son (Jesus) rises with life-giving, he will bring about the ultimate miracle – resurrection to life. What an incredible vision, what a wonderful hope. Those we dearly love, rising up in joy. Together again. United in love, forever. Open Bible- http://bit.ly/isa26v19, http://bit.ly/psa90v2, http://bit.ly/2pe3-8
They will rise!
