Faithful stewards of God’s grace

Jesus' parables of the talents and the sheep and the goats reveal one beautiful kingdom truth. Everything we have has first been entrusted to us by God. Our time, abilities, possessions, relationships, and opportunities are not ultimately ours; they are gifts from our Master, placed in our hands for His purposes. Peter echoes this truth when he writes, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10). Faithful stewardship is therefore not measured merely by what we accomplish, but by how we use God's gifts to love people. In the final judgment, Jesus does not commend spectacular achievements. He points to lives marked by compassion: feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, clothing the needy, caring for the sick, and visiting the forgotten. These acts do not earn salvation; they reveal hearts transformed by God's grace. As we abide in Christ, serving others becomes the natural overflow of His life within us. Today, ask yourself: How can I invest what God has entrusted to me for His kingdom?
