I recently attended a Bible class on the armour of Christ, where we studied the shield of faith. What struck me most was hearing people share real-life experiences where their faith was tested, strengthened, and grown. If you Google “faith,” you might see: “Faith (noun): In religion, faith is belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion.” But that definition misses a key element, the activity of faith. In the New Testament, faith appears as a noun (pistis) and as a verb (pisteuō), meaning “to believe” or “to trust.” Faith is not just static belief; it is active and living. James 2:17 says, “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” Faith is meant to grow, adapt, and deepen as we face challenges and trust God in new ways. It isn’t just held in the heart, it must be lived out in our lives. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/jam2v17 (Hannah H)
