Have you ever subscribed to something on a trial period only to forget about it and then suddenly get charged the full amount? This has happened to me in the past, but because I had grown accustomed to the service, a lot of the time I stay subscribed after this period. It’s proved to me that it’s of value and that I actually use it regularly. This made me think about our relationship with God. Many people seem to stay at the “free trial” stage — curious about God’s love but never really subscribing fully to His ways. Subscribing to God means truly loving Him and choosing to live by His Word. Jesus put it this way in John 8:31: “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.” It’s not just about trying God out; it’s about remaining in Him and making His Word a part of your daily life. We often share join links for services we love, hoping others will enjoy them too. But if you want to invite someone to something truly life-changing, help them get past the free trial stage of God’s love — and into the full, eternal life He offers.
