It can be understandable not to seek God because you simply don’t feel ‘good enough’ to be in his presence. You could be expressing thoughts such as, “God seems so mighty in power and perfect in all His ways that He would not be interested in me with all my flaws and past failures’” What would you say then if you met Jesus personally 2000 years ago and he simply said “Don’t be anxious – Just come as you are. You are already loved and wanted by me and the Father. When you are ready, listen when I call your name. There is a seat for you at my table and I have your place reserved. Oh, and yes, it is a banquet, but please – my invitation says: Come as you are…” Accept Jesus’ invitation today – “The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!” Everyone who hears this must also say, “Come!” Come, whoever is thirsty; accept the water of life as a gift, whoever wants it.” (Revelation 22:17).
