I recently had the pleasure of attending a graduation. The students all came from difficult personal and financial circumstances, so it was a cause for great celebration. Each student was introduced with a beautiful summary of their year before they came on stage. When it came to Sindi’s turn, her lecturer sang her praises. Most people, he said, forgot the Academy’s values as soon as they left. However, Sindi was different. She did not leave the academy’s values pinned on the wall in the classroom. Sindi lived these values in her work, her relationship with the other students, and at home. This made a remarkable impression on everyone’s lives. When we open the Bible and learn a lesson from God, we learn about his divine values. But what do we do when the lesson is over? Do we leave God’s values highlighted in our Bible or saved in our favourites but forgotten in our lives? God doesn’t want us to forget his divine values as soon as we close his Word. God wants us to live them at work, with our friends, and at home. “But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” (James 1:25). Let God’s Words live in you. Take them with you today in everything you do. Be a Sindi, and you will “be blessed in what you do”. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/jam1v25
