Recently I moved to a small town with lots of speed bumps – some even called "tortoise bumps" – designed to slow drivers down so they can stop should a tortoise, penguin, or other animal resident start crossing. Our lives are much the same. They are filled with unexpected bumps, difficulties, and struggles. Yet God reminds us: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) Just as physical speed bumps force vehicles to slow down, the bumps in our lives interrupt our rush. Instead of racing through hardships as quickly as possible, these difficult moments give us space to pause, reflect, and see how God is at work. Every struggle becomes an opportunity to trust that He is weaving all things together for our good and His purpose. So each time I drive over a bump, I say a quick prayer of thanks for someone in my life. It’s a simple, daily reminder to slow down, shift my perspective, and trust the One who oversees every turn in the road. Perhaps the bumps in your life can become reminders, too. When you hit the next one, don't just rush over it. Slow down, trust His purpose, that ultimately everything will work together for our good in His plan. (Ingrid's J). Open Bible – bit.ly/Rom8vs28
