Like many people, my phone has become essential – I use it for my Bible, writing Gospel Bites, music, staying connected, etc. But yesterday, it unintentionally met a rock, and the screen shattered. Strange colours and darkness spread, and though the phone still worked, navigating became nearly impossible. Finally, the screen went black. It was still on, but I could no longer see or use it. It’s crazy – everything inside still functioned perfectly, but the broken screen made it useless. It made me think how often this happens in our relationship with God. Sometimes we see Him clearly and experience His love fully. Then something happens – pain, doubt, distraction – and our view of Him cracks. It’s not that God is gone; we just no longer see Him clearly. Paul put it this way: “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face” (1 Corinthians 13:12). God’s presence remains constant, even when our vision is blurred. However, unlike my phone, He can still work even in our brokenness. And, one day, our shattered view will be restored, and we will see Him clearly in all His glory. May that day come soon! (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/1Cor13vs12
