Get-Rich Scheme

We have all been approached by people with schemes to make us wealthy. Can you spot the scam? "Invest in this start-up – it's going to be the next big thing." "Join our network – the people who got in early are already making a fortune." "Buy into this crypto now – it's about to explode." "Give away your money freely and you will become really wealthy." That last one is obviously the scam – giving money away certainly won't make you wealthy. Whose crazy idea is that? Well, it's God's Get Wealthy scheme! "One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:24-25). Read it carefully – give freely and you gain even more. This is not just about money. God's wealth is so much more than money; it's a life of meaning, joy, and peace. And the return on your investment is overflowing – "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38). When we give our money, time, skills, and resources freely, God gives us so much more – an abundant life (John 10:10).
