Who do you trust?

Recently, the world was captivated by the U.S. elections, waiting to see who would become the leader shaping the future of not just one country but many. When Trump was elected, some rejoiced while others despaired. We all experience this when we place our confidence in leaders, hoping they will solve our problems. But this isn’t new—people have done this for millennia. The Psalmist warns us, “Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them” (Psalms 146:3-4). While a good leader can make a difference, their impact is temporary. Their term ends, or they pass away, and all their plans die with them. “But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God” (Psalms 146:5). This is where true and lasting hope lies because, “The LORD will reign forever” (Psalms 146:10). Who will you put your trust in? Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Psa146v3-4 (Craig B)
