Sharing was a virtue that we would encourage our kids to develop. After all, it is something that Jesus encouraged. “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you” (Matthew 5:42). However, sadly, even this beautiful virtue has been cheapened. With the rise of reels and other short-form content, we have become enslaved to the constant consumption of mindless digital content. Then we share it, assuming our friends and family should see the same things. It’s not the careful sharing of something truly meaningful, but quick laughs, bad news, and other content that does nothing to enrich us or others. Sadly, now when something is shared with you, it’s not with excitement that it will be special, helpful, and meaningful, it’s either ignored or read with lacklustre interest. If you are a passionate sharer, how about sharing something truly precious and life changing? Share the gospel. Share God’s good news. Share how He has worked in your life. Share this, and it will change you, and those you share it with. “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. (1 Thessalonians 2:8). What will you share today? (Craig B) Open Bible – bit.ly/Mat5v42, bit.ly/1Th2v8
