What is the key to life? Make your choice today—life or death, blessings or curses? This was the choice Moses put before the children of Israel before they entered the promised land. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live!” (Deuteronomy 30:19). Moses desperately wanted the children of Israel to choose life and experience a life of blessings. So too today our Heavenly Father wants us to choose life. So what did God require from the children of Israel to experience life? The answer is in the next verse: “You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life” (Deuteronomy 30:20). A powerful verse which reveals the key to life. Yet how few in this world pay attention to these life-changing words. Love the Lord your God, obey Him, and commit yourself firmly to Him.
