I noticed a fallen tree recently that must have come down years ago. The trunk lay on the ground, partly hollowed out, yet new branches were growing vertically upward. This was possible because the roots were still connected to the ground, and a portion of the bark still held the link. It struck me how determined nature is to grow. Even when it seems impossible, life continues if there’s any connection to the root. In our lives, we can sometimes feel like that fallen tree. Maybe it’s dreams that have come crashing down, or storms that have broken our strength. What was once a towering faith now feels like it’s lying in pieces. But if we stay connected to the root, life can still spring forth. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” (Colossians 2:6–7). Whatever your situation, know this: even the tiniest root connected to Jesus will bring overflowing life. (Craig B) Open Bible – https://bit.ly/Col2v6-7
