Rewriting Eden’s story

Rewriting Eden’s story

What if Adam had refused to take the fruit after Eve ate it? We know that his act of disobedience brought sin and death into the world, but would things have been different if he had resisted? What would have happened to Eve? This isn’t just a theoretical question—it’s the very story of the Bible. God gave humankind life and abundance, entrusting us to be fruitful and multiply. Yet Adam and Eve chose disobedience, bringing suffering and death instead. From that moment, a cycle of sin and its consequences ruled humanity. Then, Jesus stepped into history—the second Adam—facing the same temptation, but this time, He chose obedience. His entire life was the Eden test, from the temptations in the wilderness to His final struggle in a garden. Yet, unlike Adam, He did not grasp for the “fruit.” Instead, He declared, “Not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). And so through His perfect obedience, He became “a life-giving spirit” (1 Corinthians 15:45), breaking the curse and redeeming His “Eve”. “Just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people” (Romans 5:18). Jesus rewrote Eden’s story—bringing life where Adam brought death. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/luk22v42, http://bit.ly/1Co15v45, http://bit.ly/Rom5v18 (Craig B)
