The book life

The book life

When I was young I remember bringing my “Book of Life” to the local bank to open my first bank account. The Book of Life was an apartheid South African government project to keep track of its citizens with more than the usual citizen records. The project failed and eventually the government settled for the simple Identity document. Ironically with all the online activity today big tech companies have their own “book of life” for each of us. With the introduction of AI technologies this information is already being used to influence our thinking and actions.Thankfully our original book of life started before any government register or computer record. God recorded us into His Book of Life long before we were even born, before the foundation of the world (Revelation 17:8). There is a battle for citizenship. Jesus warned the believers in Sardis to “be watchful” so that their names were not blotted out from God’s Book of Life. (Revelation 3:5). We are engaged in the battle of books. Words trying to win our soul. Revelation presents this battle in stark imagery. A beast system with intelligence, money and power versus the saints powered and protected by God. If we stay connected to The Word and God’s Book of Life we will overcome and be welcomed as citizens of the New Jerusalem. “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27). Be watchful. What books and words will you connect to today? Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Rev21v27, http://bit.ly/REV17v8, http://bit.ly/Rev3v5 (MB)
