Recognized

We had traveled to a distant part of our country to visit the famed Kruger National Park. As I got out the car someone said, “Hey, are you Craig?” I assumed he was either a mind reader or somehow knew me. It was the latter. It turned out he was one of my students from 23 years ago. And he recognised me! It’s either testimony to my well-preserved features or his incredible memory. Once more it must be the latter. It was amazing to be recognised so far from home by someone from so long ago. It made me wonder if Jesus would stop me and say, “Hey, are you Craig?” Would he recognize me? In one of Jesus’ stories he talks about people knocking on the door to join him, and he replies, “I don’t know you or where you come from” (Luke 13:25). But how does Jesus recognize us? “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35). Jesus only recognizes those who have his love, his divine love in their lives. Will he recognize you when he returns? Open Bible – http://bit.ly/Luk13v25, https://bit.ly/Joh13v35
