Never disappointed

We all know that familiar feeling of excitement you get a couple of days before you go on a holiday. The anxious countdown where you can’t wait to just escape for a couple of days. As we headed deep into the mountains to a secluded cabin, that feeling dissipated as rain began to pour down torrentially. The image of that beautiful sunny getaway in the countryside became a distant memory, and the cold weather created a sombre mood. Heads down, we drove to the cabin only to be greeted with the most surreal sight. All the rain had created cascades of water flowing down every corner of the mountain. We counted 20 separate waterfalls in what was a truly spectacular site. God’s amazing creation didn’t stop there, as the next day, we were met with glorious snow on the peaks around us. We had a fantastic experience despite the weather and our expectations. In Philippians 4:19, we read, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”. We may not receive blessings the way we expect them, but our Lord will always provide and exceed our expectations in his ways. Know today that God will always deliver what is best for you.
