Our little grandson has one word that he uses consistently, Mama. This single word means everything to him, food, comfort, fun, love, and of course his mom. Whenever he has a need, his default call is “mama,” often accompanied by crawling toward her or, if he is being held by someone else, leaning forward with outstretched arms. Imagine if this were our same desire toward our Heavenly Father. Whenever we are in need of daily provision, comfort, love, or even joy, we run to Him or stretch out our arms toward Him and cry out, “Dada”. This is the desire that should naturally flow from a life where God’s Spirit truly lives within us. “Because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba, Father’” (Galatians 4:6). Today, whatever your need may be, reach out your arms to your Heavenly Father and call out “Abba, Father,” and like a loving parent, He will reach out and receive you.
