Do you think there are stupid questions? I used to tell my students, “There’s no such thing as a stupid question.” I wanted to encourage curiosity. But if I’m honest, I don’t always live that out. When someone asks something I think they should already know, I often respond with impatience or dismissal. They should know this, right? But questions are the seeds of both learning and relationship. God’s first recorded conversation with humans was a question: “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9). Jesus’ first recorded words were also a question—to his parents: “Why were you searching for me?” (Luke 2:49). These divine questions show us something profound: relationships grow through questions and connection. Instead of viewing questions as interruptions or signs of ignorance, what if we saw them as invitations? Invitations to listen, to connect, and to grow together. Let’s never stop asking, never stop searching—and let’s pray for God’s patience as we respond with grace. Who needs your patience today?
