Just ask

Just ask

On several occasions Jesus asks what might seem like a crazy question. For example, when He came across a blind man who had been calling out to Him, He said, “What do you want me to do for you?”…The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” (Mark 10:51). Surely it was obvious what the blind man wanted. On another occasion, He came across a man who had not been able to walk for 38 years and asked him, “Do you want to be healed?” (John 5:6). Again, the answer seems obvious. But Jesus wants these people to ask. Asking shows desire. Asking shows faith. And this is what God wants from us – a faithful desire for Him. So no matter how obvious your needs may be, “Ask, and it will be given to you” (Matthew 7:7). “What do you want me to do for you?” – Jesus.
