Do you know God? It’s a crazy but important question, and the answer has eternal consequences. “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3). We could answer “yes” if know simply means “to be aware of”. However, the Greek word “ginosko” is a verb that means “be aware of, feel, have knowledge, perceive, be sure, understand”. Knowing God is far more than just head knowledge. It’s awareness, feeling, sureness. Knowing God is relationship. In 1 John 4:7-8 we read. “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” So, God’s children are known by their love for one another and their love for God. And this love is divine. In Romans 5:5 we read, ”God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Our Heavenly Father pours His love into our hearts so that we can generously share it with others. When we experience this love, this relationship, we know God and can experience eternal life. Open Bible – https://bit.ly/joh17v3, https://bit.ly/1jo4v7-8, https://bit.ly/Rom5v5
