Recently, I was at an industrial site with my daughter when we were invited on a site tour. The only requirement was wearing closed shoes, which she didn’t have. They gave her a new pair of leather boots, and when we left, she was told she could keep them. Later, as we prepared to fly back, she realized there wasn’t space for them in her bag. Instead of trying to squeeze them in, she decided to give them to the lady checking our hire car. The woman was overjoyed, hugging my daughter and laughing, overwhelmed by the unexpected gift. It made me reflect on how gifts work. My daughter had received something freely and chose to pass it on, creating even greater joy. God has given us all the greatest gift—“the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). But unlike physical gifts, which we lose when given away, this one multiplies. Jesus calls us to share it—“Go into all the world and share the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15). It’s a gift that never runs out, bringing joy to both the giver and the receiver. Share the good news of Jesus today and let someone experience the blessing of the ultimate gift—eternal life.
